Vestry Meeting Minutes
May 19, 2008

In attendance: Mother Ginny Ogden, Chris Cassidy, Victor Fredette, Barbara Krueger, Chris McCarthy, Annie Mellet, Gail Richardson, and Duane Wilcox.

Excused: Father Darius, Jennifer Dean, Kevin Mahony, and John Robinson

Opening Prayer and Scripture Reflection: Matthew 6:24-34

April 21, 2008 minutes reviewed and accepted.

The Big Picture: There will be a vestry retreat in October, with a potluck dinner the Friday that the retreat begins.

The sport vs. church/community service issue has been resolved. The School Board adopted a policy regarding what is expected of athletes over vacations. A thank you letter will be drafted and sent to the School Board.

June 6-8 is the Diocesan Convention, you can register at the Diocesan website.

Ministry Teams: The survey results are in, approximately 35 were returned to date. These were tabulated and reviewed. Gail Richardson is conducting an email survey of the Ministry Team leaders. It has been difficult to get all the leaders together for a meeting.

The Centennial celebration was discussed.

The Wardens have agreed to head up the Stewardship Campaign this October, with the help of a team, which so far includes Mother Ginny and Father Darius. They need two other able and creative people.

Finance: The financial reports for April 2008 were reviewed. We are in the red for April; a deposit from the Mary Jane Goyer estate was made into the Operating Fund, in the amount of $4,871.94.

Capital Campaign: Gail distributed the Capital Campaign report dated 5/12/2008.

Miscellaneous: There will be a picnic at the Denios on May 25; it will be held in honor of the Fenns, who are moving to Virginia this summer. The Wednesday evening service at 5:30 may be moved to 7:00 pm to allow people more time to arrive, after work.

The next meeting is June 16, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
